PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Many people seem to be taking heed to the warnings to limit travel.

Friday was a quiet day at the airport, with little to no wait in TSA lines. Spokesperson Florence Brown said they had about 11 flight cancellations and they expect more of the same over the next 30 days with the travel restrictions between Europe and the United States.

But those who did show up for flights said they decided to make the best of their trips despite closures and cancellations due to coronavirus concerns.

"I was supposed to attend Miami Jazz in the Garden but they cancelled it due to the virus. But I'm still going to be with family and enjoy my time," said one traveler.

Brown said they are taking extra precautions at the airport to keep travelers safe, including frequent cleanings with attention to high touch areas like rails.
