PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A man wanted for the murder of his father in Northeast Philadelphia has been captured in Massachusetts.

Cambridge police say 31-year-old Sohan Panjrolia has been taken into custody.

Authorities say Panjrolia shot and killed his father in Philadelphia's Bustleton neighborhood on Saturday around 9:30 p.m. Investigators say Panjrolia pulled a rifle on his parents inside their home on Conwell Avenue, near Haldeman Avenue, and shot his 60-year-old dad in the head several times.

Cambridge police in a tweet said 31-year-old Sohan Panjrolia, who previously attended Harvard, was taken into custody just before 1 p.m. Tuesday.

He had previously lived in the Cambridge area and attended Harvard University.

The manhunt had prompted a warning from Massachusetts State Police to expect restricted access to the area close to Harvard. And the Ivy League school issued a shelter-in-place advisory, which has ended now that the suspect is in custody.
