The girls were walking along York Road near Summit Avenue around 5 p.m. on Tuesday, when the driver of a white Toyota Prius with tinted windows pulled up next to them, according to police.
Authorities said the driver tried to persuade the girls to get into his car for a free Uber ride. They said the man was so persistent to get them in his car that traffic began to back up on York Road. He eventually drove away.
