
The annual Philadelphia St. Patrick’s Day Parade takes place Sunday, beginning at 11:15 a.m.
The parade, hosted by the Philadelphia St. Patrick's Day Observance Association, will start at 16th Street and JFK Boulevard and will march toward Independence Mall, ending at Penn's Landing.
Performances will be shown at the main stages at Fifth and Market streets until 3 p.m., rain or shine.

Like any citywide parade, you can anticipate traffic delays, so avoid the following roads and public transportation routes.
The following streets will be closed from 5:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.:
Market Street between Fifth and Sixth streets
The following streets will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.:

Additionally, SEPTA bus routes 2, 4, 5, 16, 17, 21, 23, 42, 45, 27, 31, 32, 33, 38, 44, 47, 47M, 48, 57, 61, 124 and 125 will be detoured from their normal routes between 7:30 a.m. and 5 p.m.
