PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — As winter weather moves into the Philadelphia region again, commuters are advised to stay cautious.
It seems that Philadelphia International Airport is seeing the biggest impact from the winter weather Tuesday morning with 70 cancelled flights. There are some delays as well, and more are likely. Airport officials advise all travelers to keep a close watch on their flight status, and to give themselves extra time to get to the airport.
PennDOT has reduced speed limits on some area highways including Interstates 76, 95, 476, 676; U.S. Routes 1, 30, 202, 422; and State Routes 63, 100 Spur and 309.
Much like Monday, the main roads like West Chester Pike in Upper Darby are mainly wet and in good shape. But that’s not the case everywhere. City Avenue, in West Philadelphia, still had patches of snow on the road.

February 12, 2019 Many roads and side streets in city neighborhoods are still snow covered, minus the car tracks from those who have driven through.
One concern is that, if sleet does fall, it will ice up these smaller roads and cause more problems overall.
Drivers are asked to be prepared for changing conditions through the morning during this second round of winter weather.
