
12-year-old Allison Dennis was among about 40 kids who got an introduction to tennis at the Police Athletic League using unusual equipment.
"We're using racquets with the beanbags and catching it and we're also using balloons," Dennis said.
The students were learning from world-renowned tennis coach Judy Murray of the Philadelphia Freedoms. Murray who was in town for the team's game Friday against the Orlando Storm.
"Disciple, routine, teamwork, communication skills, leadership skills, resilience skills can be developed through sport; but you have to make sport accessible and affordable to everybody," she added.
