NEW JERSEY (KYW Newsradio) — A Bellmawr man has been arrested and charged in connection with a fatal hit-and-run in Monroe Township Thursday night.
The Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office said 46-year-old Shaun Fennimore struck a 73-year-old woman on Blue Bell Road just before 6 p.m.
The woman, identified as Margaret Flail, died at the hospital.
Investigators said Fennimore ditched his car at a Heritage store after the incident. Surveillance video showed him running from the car; a police K-9 located him in the wooded area near Clayton and Railroad avenues.
Fennimore is facing numerous charges, including second-degree knowingly leaving the scene of an accident that resulted in another person’s death, and is being held pending a detention hearing.
Officials said he was driving with a suspended license.
