Philly native Kimberly Adams is an award winning anchor, host and reporter.
Kim’s career took her across the country, to TV newsrooms in Dallas, Boston, New York, and of course Philly. Her credibility as a journalist and charismatic personality earned her a place on national television.
Kim joined NBC as a correspondent and fill-in host of the cutting edge news-magazine show REALlife. She was then hired by legendary boxing referee and judge Mills Lane on his nationally syndicated tv show as a legal reporter and host.
“My proudest moment as a broadcaster was when I was hired as the youngest anchor here at a TV station in Philadelphia,” says Adams. Kim had a strong connection with her hometown audience was recognized when the Readers of Philadelphia Magazine voted her “Best Morning Anchor.”
Kim also anchored an international newscast seen in South Africa, the U.K. and the United States.
Anchoring and reporting at KYW Newsradio gives Kim the opportunity to return to her roots in radio. She worked with Mike DeNardo at WFPG radio.
“Radio has always been my passion and it is great to return to the powerhouse KYW Newsradio," she says.
Kim was raised in North Philadelphia and visits her old neighborhood to give back whenever she can.
Even though Kim has met some of the most influential people of our time, she is most inspired by her single, working mother who raised six children. Her mom taught her that an education is the best defense in life.
