Pete Innaurato is a news anchor for audacy. He’s worked on the air at 1010 WINS in New York City and KNX in Los Angeles. Now, he’s a news anchor at KYW Newsradio in the city where he grew up — the city he loves to call home (and not just because he’s a rabid Phillies fan).
KYW is also where Pete got his start, as a desk assistant, following his graduation from Rowan University. He traces his radio roots to Merrill Reese, the legendary Voice of the Eagles who gave Pete his first crack at the mic — and instruction, advice, and encouragement — on 1490 WBCB in Levittown, PA.
So, ask him for the top story. Get his take on the Phils’ bullpen. Trade baseball cards with him (he has a 1954 Ernie Banks in his collection). Have him do his Merrill impression. Even request a song! (Remember, though, just like at karaoke bars, ‘Piano Man’ and ‘American Pie’ are subject to a $10 penalty surcharge.)
