PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — This weekend in Philly, sip on some local brews with a view in Old City, shop for your favorite vintage pieces at a huge thrifting expo, or pack a picnic blanket and lunch for an intimate concert in Hawthorne Park.

DATE: Saturday and Sunday
WHERE: Along the Benjamin Franklin Parkway
DETAILS: Jay-Z’s annual music festival is back and is set to follow local public health mandates this weekend, including proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test. Festival-goers will also be required to wear face coverings. Justin Bieber and Lil Baby are headlining the festivities this year.

EVENT: Thriftcon
DATE/TIME: Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
WHERE: Greater Philadelphia Expo Center, 100 Station Ave., Oaks
DETAILS: Thriftcon comes to our area for the first time with thousands of vintage and thrifty finds, including clothing and collectibles. More than 100 vendors will be in attendance, so forget the garage or estate sale, this has you covered.

EVENT: Robert Glasper at City Winery
DATE/TIME: Saturday and Sunday, 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. shows
WHERE: City Winery, 990 Filbert St., Center City
DETAILS: Four-time Grammy Award-winning pianist, producer and songwriter Robert Glasper takes on City Winery’s main stage.

EVENT: Labor Day Concert at Hawthorne Park by Philly Legend Odean Pope
DATE/TIME: Monday, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
WHERE: Hawthorne Park, 12th and Catharine streets, South Philadelphia
DETAILS: Odean Pope, Philadelphia founding father of jazz saxophone and beloved composer, educator and arranger, is putting on a free concert in a small South Philadelphia park. Bring your chairs, blanket or even pack a picnic for an intimate concert.

EVENT: Labor Day Celebration at Sesame Place
DATE: Saturday and Sunday
WHERE: Sesame Place, 100 Sesame Road, Langhorne
DETAILS: Visit Sesame Place this long weekend and pose for some patriotic photos with Elmo. There will also be a special fireworks display to light up the sky on Monday at 8 p.m.

EVENT: Write Like a Black Girl second annual Family Fun Day
DATE/TIME: Sunday, 3 to 7 p.m.
WHERE: 4000 Cedar Grove, Fairmount Park
DETAILS: Come out to this safe space for families for an evening filled with entertainment and a whole lotta love. There will be free backpacks and water ice.
