PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — This weekend, get your drink on.

The American Whiskey Convention kicks off at Penn’s Landing, then Betsy Ross herself can walk you across town to a truly revolutionary brew. Just don’t do something you’ll regret afterward at the Philadelphia Tattoo Arts Convention.

EVENT: Tipsy History: A Revolution Brews
DATE/TIME: Friday, 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
WHERE: Betsy Ross House, 239 Arch St., Old City
DETAILS: Martha Washington will answer your questions about the Revolution and, more specifically, what women did. The tour begins at the Betsy Ross House and continues to the Victoria Freehouse where you can have either an American hard cider or a British beer.
PRICE: $25 with registration

EVENT: Chester County Balloon Festival
DATE: Through Sunday
WHERE: Willowdale Steeplechase Grounds, 101 E. Street Road, Kennett Square
DETAILS: In its 14th year, the balloon festival has everything from ziplining to a mechanical bull. With more than 20 balloons taking flight, plus live music and a beer garden, there’s a little something for everyone in your family.
PRICE: One-day passes are $20 for adults, $10 for kids

EVENT: Outlaw Music Festival Tour
DATE/TIME: Saturday, 5:15 p.m.
WHERE: The Mann Center, 5201 Parkside Ave., West Fairmount Park
DETAILS: The Outlaw Music Festival Tour has always been about family and friends coming together for a great day of music and fun, and with the amazing group of artists joining us, this year promises to be the most special Outlaw Tour to date. “I just can’t wait to get back on the road again,” says Willie Nelson. Along with Nelson, Sturgill Simpson, Gov’t Mule, and Margo Price will be a part of this tour’s stop.

EVENT: Philadelphia Honey Festival
DATE: Through Sunday
WHERE: Glen Foerd on the Delaware, Wyck Historic House, Garden, and Farm, and Bartram’s Garden
DETAILS: Learn about the importance of the honey bee through honey tastings, extractions, presentations and a bee-bearding. There will also be a beer and mead garden.

EVENT: South Jersey Apple Festival
DATE/TIME: Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
WHERE: 97 Trench Road, Bridgeton, New Jersey
DETAILS: Celebrate the beginning of the apple harvest season. There will be baking contests, a craft show, an apple pageant and plenty to do for the whole family. Pets are welcome, too.

EVENT: Flying Fish 5K
DATE/TIME: Saturday, 10 a.m.
WHERE: Flying Fish Brewery, 900 Kennedy Blvd., Somerdale, New Jersey
DETAILS: Now in its eighth year, participants in the the Flying Fish 5K get beer specials all afternoon (after running, of course). There will also be food trucks, lawn games and live music.
PRICE: $45 to race in-person, $40 for the virtual race

EVENT: American Whiskey Convention
DATE/TIME: Friday, 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.
WHERE: Independence Seaport Museum, 211 S. Christopher Columbus Blvd., Penn’s Landing
DETAILS: More than 250 bourbons and whiskeys from distilleries from across the nation will be in attendance for you to sample. Meet master distillers and browse barrel-aged beers and wine.

EVENT: Philadelphia Fringe Festival
DATE: Through Oct. 3
WHERE: Various locations

EVENT: Philadelphia Tattoo Arts Convention
DATE: Through Sunday
WHERE: Philadelphia Convention Center, 1101 Arch St., Center City
DETAILS: Tattoo artists from all over the world, with various tattooing styles, converge at this annual festival. There is also an after party several local food spots providing bites after hours.
PRICE: $22 per day, $45 for a weekend pass
