It's almost that time of year again — Girl Scout Cookie season. And this year, the classic batch is getting a new flavor.

The group is taking its popular Thin Mints template and adding the tangy, fruity flavor of raspberry — a bit of a new move for the brand that doesn't normally tread down a fruit avenue. The new cookies have been dubbed Raspberry Rally.

In a press release the Girl Scouts said they considering the new combo to be a "sister cookie" to the classic Thin Mints. Raspberry Rally cookies have a raspberry filling and will be dipped in the same chocolatey coating as the iconic minty favorite.

Additionally, this will be the first Girl Scout Cookie available only online. The idea is to help the young girls develop their e-commerce skills, in addition to knocking on neighbors’ doors or setting up shop outside a store.

It’s the second new taste sensation Girl Scouts have come up with in the last year. The organization also introduced Adventurefuls, a brownie-inspired treat featuring a caramel-flavored cream center, a drizzle of chocolate sauce and a bit of sea salt.

There’s word that the demand for Adventurefuls was so high, they ran out. But Raspberry Rally, and all the rest of the familiar flavors, will be available for the 2023 Girl Scout Cookie season that typically runs from January through April, but local timing and product availability may vary.
