3 firefighters hurt after 2-alarm rowhouse fire in South Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — More than 120 members of the Philadelphia Fire Department responded to a rowhouse fire that reportedly injured three firefighters in South Philadelphia Monday afternoon, according to a report.

According to NBC10, 24 people were displaced as a result of the fire.

It started just before 5 p.m. at the intersection of South 5th and Morris streets in the Dickinson Narrows neighborhood.

The fire department declared it a two-alarm fire to bring more firefighters to the scene. It took about an hour to extinguish the fire.

There was no initial word on the cause.
