PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Philadelphia police spent late Tuesday afternoon investigating two deadly daytime shooting incidents. In one of them, three people were shot, and the victim who died had been hit 10 times.
The triple shooting happened just after 4 p.m. near the corner of North 46th and Parrish streets in the Mill Creek neighborhood of West Philadelphia. A 33-year-old man was shot 10 times, in the back, rear end and knees, and was pronounced dead a short time later.
Another 33-year-old was shot twice in the knee and rear end, and a 25-year-old man was hit three times in the right leg. They were both hospitalized at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center and were listed in stable condition.
A 63-year-old man was also shot several multiple times and died in an incident on Broad Street in North Philadelphia at about 3:10 p.m. The victim was pronounced dead at Einstein Medical Center at about 3:50 p.m.
Police closed Broad Street for much of the Tuesday afternoon commute to investigate the scene. They had no word on arrests or weapons recovered from either deadly shooting.
