2 people shot, injured in separate West Philadelphia shootings, police say

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Police are searching for whoever shot and wounded two people, including a teenager, in separate shootings overnight in West Philadelphia.

Police said a 19-year-old man was shot in the pinkie around 10:30 p.m. Saturday during an attempted robbery along the 6700 block of Dicks Avenue in the Elmwood neighborhood.


Police said nothing was taken.

The suspected shooter is described as a 5’9 man with dreadlocks, wearing all black clothes and a black mask.

A few hours later, close to 12:30 a.m. Sunday, police said a 21-year-old woman was shot in her hand along 100 North Millick Street, near Arch Street.

Both shooting victims were taken to the hospital and placed in stable condition.

No arrests have been made, and no weapon has been recovered. The investigation is ongoing.
