UPPER MERION, Pa. (KYW Newsradio) — Upper Merion police are searching for a man and woman wanted in connection to a robbery at the King of Prussia Mall Friday.
They say staff were monitoring the two as they were stealing merchandise from inside Macy’s just before 6 p.m.
The pair grabbed multiple items, walked past the available cashiers, and attempted to leave the store before Loss Prevention agents confronted them. The man then started to fight with two of the agents and pulled out a handgun.
Officials say the workers then backed off and one of them dropped their phone, which the man took as he and the woman ran off into the Orange parking lot.
A bag of their stolen items was later recovered, totaling to a little more than $600, as well as the agent’s phone.
The man was last seen wearing a blue face mask, black beanie, hoodie and sweatpants, and blue sneakers. The woman was in a dark green North Face, black sweatpants with bright green lettering along the left leg, and black shoes. She was also in a blue face mask at the time of the robbery.
