BUCKS COUNTY, Pa. (KYW Newsradio) — A fraud investigation in Bucks County led to the arrest of three people on Wednesday afternoon.
Around 12:30 p.m., Newtown Township police said they saw suspicious activity inside a Truist Bank on Campus Drive. When they went over to investigate, the car involved drove away.
Police then spotted the same car at a Wawa on Lower Silver Lake Road and again went to approach it. As they did that, the driver rammed the police vehicle in an attempt to flee.
The three people inside the car then jumped out and ran into the woods. Several officers from across Bucks County joined the search with drones and K-9 teams.
All three people were eventually found. They now face a total of eight combined felony charges.
