NORRISTOWN, Pa. (KYW Newsradio) — U.S. Marshals have arrested three men wanted in connection to the shooting death of a man in Norristown earlier this month.
U.S. Marshals Service Philadelphia announced that 18-year-old Damon Brantley Jr., 29-year-old Daquan Allen, and 28-year-old Jerry Butler had been taken into custody Wednesday night in upstate New York.
The men were wanted on murder and robbery charges for the Jan. 20 killing of William Carter. Surveillance video shows Carter walking down the street when three men jumped out of an SUV and pushed him up against a wall.
Investigators say Carter was found dead on the sidewalk just before 8 p.m.
The Montgomery County District Attorney's Office believes Brantley was the shooter and the firearm he used may have had an illegal switch on it that turns a semi-automatic weapon into a fully automatic one.
All three were transported to Broome County jail awaiting extradition to Pennsylvania.
