KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa. (KYW Newsradio) — A shooting in the King of Prussia Mall food court created chaos Tuesday night. Police determined the single shot was an accident, but they are looking for two men involved — one had the gun on him, and one was wounded.
Around 7:30 p.m., near the sushi stand in the plaza section of the mall, the sound of a gunshot sent shoppers and store employees into a frenzy.
“I was just scared,” one bystander told NBC10. “All of a sudden ... a bunch of people started darting, running out of nowhere.”
“In that area, it is complete panic,” said Upper Merion Police Chief Thomas Nolan. “People are running. People are sheltering in place. But they’re doing the right things. They’re getting away from where a possible gunshot was fired.”
Police responded to the scene and soon determined it was not an active shooter situation. Investigators viewed surveillance footage and said they saw two men walking by the food court when the shot rang out.

It appeared that one of the men had the gun in his pants pocket. He either shot himself or shot the man he was with, police said. No one else in the mall was hurt.
The men bolted and exited the mall by the Rite Aid, police said.
