MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Pa. (KYW Newsradio) — A man has been charged in connection with the murder of his girlfriend outside her West Conshohocken home Sunday.
Police received a call about a shooting on the 200 block of Morehead Street and Elizabeth Street just after midnight. Upon arrival, they found a woman, identified as 25-year-old Alyssa Rose Wiest, face down on the sidewalk with gunshot wounds to her stomach.
She was taken to a nearby hospital, where she died.
According to officials, the door to Wiest’s home was ajar. There was blood inside her home and on the sidewalk leading to her body. Detectives recovered five projectiles in and outside the home.
After the shooting, a neighbor said they saw Wiest’s boyfriend of two years, Michael Dutkiewicz, 26, of Warminster, standing by his truck.
A warrant was issued for Dutkiewicz’s arrest. He turned himself in to West Conshohocken police later that same day.
Dutkiewicz is charged with first- and third-degree murder and possessing an instrument of crime.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 27.
