PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — The two men accused of driving a Hummer with weapons and ammunition from Virginia to the Pennsylvania Convention Center where votes were being counted for the 2020 election were sentenced Wednesday, sparing them of additional jail time.

Common Pleas Court Judge Lucretia Clemons sentenced Antonio Lamotta and Joshua Macias to 11½ to 23 months in prison and placed the two on immediate parole, followed by at least two years of probation.

In October, a judge found LaMotta and Macias guilty of carrying firearms without a license and carrying them publicly in Philadelphia. Both men were acquitted of election interference charges.

Those charges stem from November 2020 when LaMotta and Macias were arrested near the Pennsylvania Convention Center while presidential votes were being counted. Police found handguns on each man and an AR-style rifle in their vehicle, as well as more than 150 rounds of ammunition.

Officials say both LaMotta and Macias participated in the Capitol Riots on January 6th after being released on bail.
