PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Two men have been arrested in connection with a shooting earlier this month near Delaware State University that left a man dead.
Dover police said they arrested a 22-year-old man, who has not been named, on Oct. 16 after authorities raided his residence.
Investigators found a handgun, bullets and clothing that matched what the suspect wore during the shooting. There’s no word on whether the gun they found was used in the shooting.
Investigators determined an unnamed 18-year-old was also involved. U.S. marshals arrested him in Maryland on Wednesday.
Both suspects face charges, including first-degree murder, attempted murder and weapons offenses.
On Oct. 11, shortly after homecoming festivities concluded at Delaware State University, police said shots were fired in the parking lot of Dover Commons shopping center.
Nassir Cox, 22, of Philadelphia, was killed. A 21-year-old man was also shot and wounded.
