PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — The Philadelphia Police Department is asking the public to help identify a suspect in an attempted robbery in Chinatown.
It happened Monday around 11 a.m. on Vine Street, between 10th and 11th streets.
A 31-year-old woman was walking on Vine Street when she was approached by an unknown male from behind. Authorities said he tried to pull her necklace and headphones off of her neck.
He was unsuccessful and fled, last seen going north on 10th Street. The victim suffered minor scratches on her neck.
Police said the suspect is a thin male who is possibly in his teens.
