PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — An ATV driver slammed into a car and died in North Philadelphia Thursday night.
It happened around 8:30 p.m. on Broad Street, near Rising Sun Avenue.
Police said the 35-year-old ATV driver was speeding southbound on Broad Street when he slammed into a Subaru that was making a legal left turn.
Chief Inspector Scott Small said the 65-year-old Subaru driver stayed on the scene.

"She's very shaken up because after the accident, several other quads and dirt bikes showed up on the scene and were encircling her, so she was in fear for her safety," he said.
Many other ATVs and dirt bikes drove by as police investigated the crash.
Riding an ATV or a dirt bike on city streets is illegal. Police did not arrest any of the other riders.
