PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — The Lower Bucks County Joint Municipal Authority has issued a water boiling advisory until further notice after the district endured a loss of water pressure, due to what they describe as conditions of the river from the recent storms.

Aqua Pennsylvania says a similar boil water advisory is in effect for Charlestown and East Whiteland in Chester County as well, after initially retracting a water boil for them.

The advisory warns to not drink water from without first boiling the water for at least a minute before cooling and drinking it, or to drink bottled water.

They say that until further notice, use boiled or bottled water for:
- Drinking
- Ice
- Dishwashing
- Brushing teeth
- Food preparation

According to LBCJMA, the untreated water may have numerous bacteria, parasites and viruses. They also say that people with infants and young children in their care, and people at increased risk should advise health care experts before drinking this water.
