PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A man from Bucks County was convicted for several narcotics offenses, including heroin distribution and conspiracy.

Officials from the U.S. Attorney’s Office say Matt “Mack” Jones was investigated in January 2018, as part of a drug trafficking operation.

Investigators say Jones, 39, supplied heroin and would use other people to deliver bags of it to customers throughout the Philadelphia region.

As part of the investigation, officials say a large amount of fentanyl-laced heroin, several firearms, and other drugs were seized. They said the conspiracy led to the distribution of more than a half-kilogram of heroin, fentanyl, or both.

“Jones and other members of this conspiracy pumped large quantities of narcotics into our communities, putting many people’s lives at risk,” said U.S. Attorney Jacqueline Romero.

New Jersey State Police, Philadelphia and Bensalem police and federal officials helped investigate the case.
