DOYLESTOWN, Pa. (KYW Newsradio) — A Bucks County teacher is accused of trying to meet someone he thought was a 13-year-old boy for a sexual encounter.
The Bucks County District Attorney's Office says the investigation started on March 1, when someone visited the Buckingham Township Police Department to file a report of unlawful contact with a minor from nearly a year ago.
The accuser, who remains unidentified in the criminal complaint, said they posed as a 13-year-old boy in conversations on a dating app between May 20 and May 23 of last year with a man later identified as 42-year-old Council Rock High School teacher Steven Struzinski.
Charging documents allege Struzinski, who himself was posing as a 35-year-old, initiated explicit conversations and arranged for the two to meet, even though the accuser indicated several times throughout the exchange that they were 13.

When Struzinski arrived at George M. Bush Park in Buckingham Township on May 23, the accuser told him through the app where to park, according to police. After Struzinski said he had parked, a witness took a photograph of the vehicle and of the license plate, and the driver of the vehicle quickly drove off. Police confirmed the vehicle is registered to Struzinski.
Struzinski is charged with criminal attempt to commit involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a minor and criminal attempt to commit unlawful contact with a minor.
Charging documents do not disclose the actual age of the accuser or whether he and Struzinski met or saw each other.
Struzinski's lawyer said they have no comment at this time.
Council Rock School District says Struzinski has been placed on administrative leave.
