PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A Kennett Square woman faces charges including failing to report child abuse, after a teacher at the school where she was executive director allegedly abused children under two years old.

The Chester County District Attorney's Office said that Tiffany Nichols, 39, is accused of failing to tell law enforcement, abuse victims' parents, and Childline after eyewitnesses told her about alleged incidents of abuse committed by Victoria Aronson, who was a caretaker of toddlers at the Malvern School in Westtown. Nichols was the school's executive director.

Aronson was arrested on October 25 and was accused of "slamming them onto changing tables or onto the ground, screaming at them, and other criminal behavior," according to the district attorney's office.

Investigators say eyewitnesses told Nichols three times about abuse, use of unreasonable force, or lack of attentiveness to the children in her care. In every case, Nichols allegedly either didn't investigate or properly notify authorities and parents about these reports.

The district attorney's office said that because Nichols failed to inform authorities and parents, Aronson continued abusing the children.

Nichols was arrested, and has been released on $35,000 bail.
