PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Two children have died in a row home fire in Trenton, New Jersey.
Firefighters responded around 4 a.m. Wednesday on Hewitt Street, near Anderson Street. Inside the house, they found a 4-year-old boy and a 7-year-old girl.
The children were rushed to a nearby hospital, where they died a short time later.
Two firefighters were also injured. One was treated for smoke inhalation and released from the hospital. The other is being treated for burns to his legs.
One adult escaped the home without injuries.
The front of the Hewitt Street home is charred black, and the windows are busted out. The fire spread to at least one neighboring home as well.
