TRAINER, Pa. (KYW Newsradio) — Police in Delaware County are investigating a deadly hit-and-run early Monday morning.
It happened just before 3 a.m. near Ridge Avenue and Baker Street in Trainer. There is a large manufacturing plant with a big water tower on one side of Ridge Avenue. The other side is a neighborhood.
Emergency crews responded to a report that a pedestrian had been hit. They shut down Ridge Avenue as they investigated.
Around 4 a.m., crews were seen placing a body bag into a medical examiner’s van.
There was no sign of the vehicle that was involved, and no indication of who the driver was or where they went.
There’s no information yet about the victim. Police did not say if the person worked at the plant, lived in the neighborhood, or was just walking through.
