PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Drexel University has placed two fraternities on an interim suspension as it investigates allegations of sexual misconduct and hazing.
During the suspension, Drexel said the two frats — Pi Kappa Phi and Lambda Chi Alpha — are prohibited from holding new member activities and events involving alcohol.
The university did not release any other details about the allegations but said in a statement that a review is underway to “determine appropriate next steps.”
A spokesperson added that Drexel does not tolerate sexual misconduct or hazing, and it will investigate the accusations as part of its conduct policies.
