Dunkin' Donuts murder suspect charged with 2 murders, 39 other felonies in Delaware

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A man charged with the shooting death of a Dunkin' Donuts manager in Philadelphia, as well as the death of his own mother, now faces 41 felony charges in Delaware including two other murders.

The Delaware Attorney General's Office said that Keith Gibson, 39, killed Leslie Basilio and Ronald Wright while injuring four others over a three-week period in cases of attempted murder, assaults and robberies. Delaware Attorney General Kathy Jennings said this indictment might be “just the tip of the iceberg” when it comes to Gibson.

Gibson allegedly shot and killed Basilio, 28, while robbing a mobile phone store in Elsmere on May 15, then stole her vehicle, according to authorities.

He also allegedly killed Wright, 42, and assaulted someone else on June 5 during a street robbery.

Authorities arrested Gibson in Delaware on June 8.

The Philadelphia District Attorney's Office has already charged Gibson with the murder of Dunkin' Donuts manager Christine Lugo in the early morning of June 5.

Gibson also faces charges in the shooting death of his mother, Christine Gibson in February, with the same gun he allegedly used in the Dunkin' Donuts shooting. He also may be tied to a double murder in Germantown in January.

He was released from prison in mid-December after a 13-year sentence for a conviction on charges including manslaughter, according to the Delaware Attorney General's Office. They said that Gibson later violated his probation terms and returned behind bars, but was released on April 27.
