PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — In anticipation of Super Bowl LVII being just a week away, hundreds of Eagles fans packed into Lincoln Financial Field Sunday morning for the team's special Send Off Party.

Music and energy filled the stadium starting at 9 a.m. with performances from the Eagles Drumline, Pep Band and Cheerleaders as they danced, sang and played along to the Eagles fight song.

Following the performances, fans got to hear from players, sprint up and down the field and take pictures in the end zone.

Zach Tallmadg left his house before sunrise Sunday and muscled through the cold for a chance to stand on Lincoln Financial Field and take part in the send off. He said being there was a surreal experience.

“I’ll do anything for my eagles,” Tallmadg said. “I love watching them.”

Tallmadg felt it was awesome seeing people come together and pass on their love and passion for the Birds from generation to generation.

Matt Meredith did just that and brought his daughter Lilly out to enjoy the festivities.

“Not too many times you get the opportunity to get on the field and make such a special moment for a four-year-old that she’ll remember forever,” Meredith said. “So you got to do it.”

While Jonathan Perez isn't four-years-old, he too will remember this day forever, as he savored the moment by lying down on the 50-yard line.

“Amazing feeling to watch it on TV and to actually be on the field where they make history and all that is a beautiful feeling,” Perez said.

Players are expected to land in Arizona Sunday night and will face off the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, Feb. 12 at 6:30 p.m.

Ticket sales from the Send Off Party went towards the Eagles Autism Foundation.
