QUAKERTOWN, P.A. (KYW Newsradio) — A 55-year-old former family counselor admitted in court on Monday to secretly recording patients and staff using a bathroom in his Quakertown office.
Jonathan Moyer of Alburtis, Pennsylvania, was arrested in March of last year after investigators found a camera disguised as a phone charging block plugged in under a sink directly across from the toilet in the bathroom of Empower Life Coaching and Counseling on Broad Street in Quakertown.
In addition to videos from the bathroom, prosecutors said Moyer also set up a camera in his office to take up-skirt video of a minor.
The Bucks County District Attorney’s Office said there were more than 20 victims in total.
Moyer pleaded guilty to 12 counts of felony wire-tap violations and 13 counts misdemeanor invasion of privacy.
He will be sentenced on Aug. 13 and will have to register as a sex offender.
