PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Philadelphia's health commissioner is recommending stronger enforcement of COVID-19 mandates at Citizens Bank Park after getting a complaint, with a picture as proof, that a lot of people are not wearing masks at Phillies games.

Dr. Tom Farley says he doesn’t want the stadium to be a source of the virus spreading. He told the Phillies about the complaint he received and said the team needs to enforce the rules about masks

Farley was also asked about whether fans would be in the stands for football season. The NFL's commissioner is hoping to see packed stadiums, but Farley said it’s not time to be thinking about that yet.

"It’s just far too early to tell where we’re going to be in the fall," he said. "This has been a long epidemic, but it isn't over yet. It’s got many more twists and turns and surprises, so no one can make predictions on where we are going to be in the fall."

KYW Newsradio reached out to the Phillies for comment and is awaiting a response.
