Born and raised in Southwest Philadelphia, Omolara Fatiregun is the founder, president and CEO of Thrive! The Harvard graduate has spent her career evaluating and studying philanthropic, educational and other social justice programs and is putting her decade and a half of experience to work. "We cannot talk about racial justice without discussing economic injustice," she says.
In this candid one-on-one interview, Fatiregun explains how evaluating distribution of government resources can help identify areas for efficiencies. She tells her life story and how being raised by a single mother helped chart her path.

Our newsmaker of the week is JumpStart Philly, a program that trains fledging real estate developers in an effort to eliminate blight in the city of Philadelphia. Founder Ken Weinstein discusses a new partnership between JumpStart Philly and the Philadelphia Housing Authority.
Under the program, JumpStart grads will get the chance to renovate PHA housing stock by purchasing the property at a reduced price. They’ll then sell the properties to PHA residents.

Finally, the Patriot Home Care Changemaker of the week is Gift of Life Donor Program. President and CEO Howard Nathan discusses the organization's recent milestone: for the 13th year in a row, they are leading the nation in the number of organ donors, coordinating roughly 1,631 organ donations in 2020. Nathan discusses what this means, how the pandemic impacted the gift of life effort to save life and what the future looks like.
