PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — This weekend, Philadelphians can get transported right to Germany, without leaving Center City.
Philadelphia's Christmas Village is still in full swing, but this weekend, there's a European twist. Bratwursts, a beer garden, and traditional performances are being added to the menu. That's because it's German American Weekend.
Alongside all of the other holiday festivities outside City Hall, all weekend you can explore German roots with traditional dancing, performances, food, and of course a beer garden.
And while you're there, don't forget to check out the other vendors stationed at City Hall's Christmas Village, like Ashley Rivera enjoying the merry-go-round with her son.
"I think it's great," she said. "It's good for the families and everyone that comes to visit their family that lives here."
The Christmas Village is open daily until Christmas Eve.
