GLOUCESTER, N.J. (KYW Newsradio) — A juvenile suspected of assaulting a pizza delivery driver in South Jersey has been arrested.
It happened Sunday just before 8 p.m. in Gloucester Township. Investigators say the juvenile ordered pizza to his apartment and when the delivery driver arrived, the suspect pretended to look in his pockets for money to pay then punched the driver in the head and jumped into his car.
They say the juvenile then crashed into two other cars at the complex and tried to run off in nearby woods but officers spotted and apprehended him. He is facing several charges, including robbery and carjacking.
Officials say the delivery driver had minor injuries.
