Man killed in possible targeted attack in Burlington County

The victim, 32, was shot outside his Maple Shade apartment building

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A Maple Shade, New Jersey man was killed over the weekend, after being shot in the parking lot of his apartment complex.

Investigators don't think it was a random shooting, and they are trying to find the suspects.

Burlington County and Maple Shade investigators said that around 6:30 p.m. Sunday night, Ezekiel Sanders, Jr., 32, was shot in the parking lot of the Fox Meadow apartments.

He was taken by EMTs to a hospital, where he died less than an hour later.

The Burlington County Prosecutor's Office said it may have been a targeted attack, and they are looking into possible connections.

A spokesperson added there were at least two people in a car that sped off after shots were fired.

No arrests had been made as of early Tuesday evening, but investigators are asking anyone who may have witnessed the shooting to call them.
