PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Authorities are searching for a federal inmate who climbed two fences and escaped a re-entry facility in North Philadelphia on Sunday.

The U.S. Marshals Service said 30-year-old Keith Freeman was near the end of his 96-month sentence for weapons possession.

He escaped from the Kintock Group, a prison contractor that provides job training, drug treatment and medical services for people coming out of prison.

Marshals say Freeman got into an argument with someone at the facility around 9 p.m. and then took off, jumping two fences.

Anyone with information about Freeman’s whereabouts is asked to contact the U.S. Marshals Service at 1-866-865-TIPS (8477).

“He has a weapons history. He has other violent offenses in his past, so I would leave it up to the professionals,” said Supervisory Deputy U.S. Marshal Robert Clark of the Eastern Pennsylvania Violent Crime Fugitive Task Force.

“Give us a call, and we will come out and we’ll scoop him up.  I am fairly confident that we’re going to get him back into custody in a short amount of time.”
