PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A juvenile is accused of killing another teen, 17-year-old Sabrie Pierce, during a drug deal outside of an apartment complex in Chester, Delaware County.
Around 8 p.m. on June 9, a witness told police they were contacted to sell two ounces of marijuana.
According to the affidavit, Pierce and another individual went to the witness' car when a third person — believed to be the shooter — approached them from the wood line. Minutes later, police said the juvenile suspect shot Pierce twice.
The witness told police the other individual took the marijuana and ran off without paying.
Pierce was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police found two fired cartridge cases and a gun with no serial number on it, which appeared to be privately manufactured.
The Delaware County District Attorney's Office did not identify the juvenile suspect by name. In a statement, District Attorney Jack Stollsteimer said the families of two young men are grieving.
