PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — The practice of medicine can be extremely humbling. There is always more to learn, and it is a poor physician who thinks they know everything.
Predicting how COVID-19 will change in the future is very difficult. The consensus is that in the long run, COVID-19 will stay with us in some form — and, hopefully, yearly vaccines and readily available oral therapy will help and could be approached similarly in the way we deal with the flu.
For late spring and summer, the hope is that omicron will continue to flame out with a much larger population of immune people who have survived exposure to omicron and/or been vaccinated and boosted.
