PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A Lancaster man was arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a 70-year-old Souderton woman, who is disabled, in Montgomery County between 2020 and 2021.

According to the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office, 23-year-old Malquan Craig’s girlfriend worked as a certified nursing assistant at a 24-hour care facility and provided residential care to the victim, who is deaf, blind and nonverbal.

Authorities say Craig and his girlfriend would order takeout and go pick it up with the victim in the car. While his girlfriend was inside restaurants, officials say Craig would sexually assault the 70-year-old woman.

While investigating Craig for a separate incident, detectives found nine videos and several photos on his phone that depicted the assaults.

Craig told police that his girlfriend was unaware of the assaults.

Timestamp and location data showed the assaults took place between July 2020 and June 2021 outside restaurants and shopping centers in Norristown, Lansdale and West Norriton.

Craig faces several charges of aggravated indecent assault. Prosecutors plan to add felony aggravated indecent assault at his preliminary hearing.

He is currently being held in Lancaster County Prison.
