
PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A Philadelphia man has been charged with aggravated assault of a police officer during the first night of unrest and chaos sparked by the shooting death of Walter Wallace Jr.
Quinzell Armstrong, 28, is accused of running over a 56-year-old police sergeant with his car Tuesday just before 1 a.m. at 52nd and Walnut streets.
The sergeant suffered a broken leg.
Armstrong also faces conspiracy, simple assault, reckless endangerment of another person, and related offenses.
He currently remains in prison on 10% of $999,999.
