PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A 22-year-old man is dead after being shot five times in Fairmount Park Monday afternoon, according to Philadelphia police.

The deadly shooting happened at about 4:10 p.m. on Belmont Avenue near the intersection at Montgomery Drive and South Georges Hill Drive.

Someone shot the victim twice in the head, twice in the left arm and once in the chest, according to an initial police report. He was taken to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where he died shortly after the shooting.

Authorities gave no initial word of any arrests or weapons that were recovered from the crime scene.
