PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A 45-year-old Warminster man, who fled the country nearly two years ago after he was charged with sexually assaulting three young girls, is back in custody in Bucks County.
Noel Yanes, formerly of the Rosewood West Apartments on Norristown Road in Warminster, was charged in February 2024 with sexually assaulting or raping three girls, but he fled the country shortly after charges were filed, the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office said.
The youngest victim was 4 years old at the time of the assault. Another girl told police that Yanes raped her several times, starting when she was 5 and continuing until she was 11. A third victim was 8 when she said Yanes sexually assaulted her in a pool.
Yanes was arrested in El Salvador in January and extradited back to Bucks County Wednesday night.
He is facing seven counts each of rape of a child, statutory sexual assault, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child, indecent assault, and unlawful contact with a minor.
Bucks County District Attorney Jen Schorn said the Warminster Township Police Department, the Department of Justice’s Office of Internal Affairs, and the U.S. Marshals Service all assisted in returning Yanes to Bucks County to face charges. She said his capture is “a testament to the relentless pursuit of justice by all agencies involved.”
Yanes is currently being held in the Bucks County Correctional Facility on 10% of $500,000 bail. A preliminary hearing scheduled for Jan. 26.
