PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A man was shot and killed inside a Chinese takeout restaurant in Hunting Park Wednesday night.
It happened around 8:30 p.m. inside China Garden near Eighth Street and Erie Avenue.
Chief Inspector Scott Small said the whole thing was caught on the restaurant’s surveillance camera.
“You can clearly see the victim and the shooter, they’re both in the takeout customer area. There’s at least one other customer in that area, and there’s some sort of verbal altercation that you can hear,” he said.
Both the shooter and the victim ran outside. The 34-year-old victim collapsed on the sidewalk. An ambulance took him to the hospital, where he died.
The shooter got away. Police are looking at the surveillance video to try to identify him.
