PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A man is dead after he was shot outside of a West Philadelphia bar Saturday morning, not long after police said he was kicked out of the establishment.

It was around 2 a.m. that police were called to the intersection of 54th Street and Wyalusing Avenue for a reported shooting. When they arrived, they found a 45-year-old man suffering from several gunshot wounds.

According to Philadelphia Police Captain Christopher Bradshaw, the man was told to leave a nearby bar before the shooting for being “intoxicated.” That’s when a fight broke out between the man and the suspect, and shots were fired.

The 45-year-old was taken to a nearby hospital, where he died from his injuries.

The suspect is described as about 6 feet tall and was last seen wearing a dark blue hoodie, black pants, and black and white sneakers. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact police at 215-686-8477.
