DOYLESTOWN, Pa. (KYW Newsradio) — An 86-year-old man will likely spend the rest of his life in prison after pleading guilty to raping two children in Bucks County.
Bucks County Judge Wallace Bateman sentenced Thomas Rosenthal to 30 to 60 years in prison — 15 to 30 years for each of his victims.
Rosenthal pleaded guilty earlier this year, to raping and sexually assaulting a 5-year-old and an 8-year-old.
The Bucks County D.A.'s office says both girls were raped and sexually assaulted several times between Aug. 20 and Aug. 28 last year, when Rosenthal was staying at their home while visiting from Massachusetts.
The girls each wrote victim impact statements that were read in court. Their mother also addressed the court.
"This has taken precious time off their happy childhood memories in what should have been magical years," she said.
