PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Two men were critically injured after they stabbed each other during a fight in the Hunting Park section of Philadelphia Wednesday night.
Around 9 p.m., police responded to the area of 10th and Luzerne streets and found two men who had been stabbed multiple times. Both were taken to the hospital, where they are listed in critical condition.
“There are police real-time crime cameras that did record the incident,” said Chief Inspector Scott Small. “It appeared that these two individuals were involved in a mutual fight that escalated into this double stabbing.
“We found what appears to be a knife blade, and then a second knife. And, we found what appears to be a handle of a knife and also blood.”
Police do not know why the men started fighting. Small said both of them were placed into custody, but it was not immediately clear if they will be charged.
